Poker Resolutions
by Luckbox
I've already posted my New Year's resolutions over at Up For Anything, and I figure I should come up with a few poker resolutions. Anything to help increase the stack, right?
- Fold pocket aces more: There are few feelings better than having American Airlines land in front of you. There are few feeling worse than watching your pocket aces lose to a flush or a straight when you knew damn well that the other player had the flush or the straight.
- Fold pocket kings more: You get the picture. There's an ace on the flop and two people in front of you are betting it up... but instead I'll stay in the hand just to see that I'm third best.
- Play more aggressively shorthanded: I love Sit-N-Go's, but I often find myself being blinded away as we get down to four players. That's the best way to finish just out of the money.
- Stop playing until 4am: I hate the fact that I get online and I build up a little bit of money and I can't stop. My concentration wanes and I start throwing money away as the hour hand moves. that has to end.
I guess that's about it for now. I'm sure there is plenty more for me to do so that I become a better player, but this is a start.
